R. Kirk Nowery is Chief Operating Officer of Samaritan’s Purse, one of the world’s most far-reaching Christian relief and development organizations.

Prior to joining Samaritan’s Purse, Kirk served with Dr. John C. Maxwell as president of a consulting firm specializing in capital stewardship projects for churches across the U.S. and Canada. Under his leadership, the company surpassed the four billion dollar mark in funds raised for ministry initiatives.

The foundation of Dr. Nowery’s work was the 18 years he served as Youth Pastor, Executive Pastor and Senior Pastor of a multi-cultural megachurch in Miami, Florida. During those same years he was Chairman of an acclaimed Christian school with over 2,000 students. And from 1983 to 1995 he was Chaplain of the famed Miami Dolphins NFL football team.

A renowned speaker and ministry strategist, Kirk Nowery is the author of seven books. His most recent work is Make the Most of Your Life.

Dr. Nowery holds a B.A. from Baptist University and an M.A. and D.Min. from Liberty University. Kirk and his wife, Denise, are the parents of three grown children, all of whom are engaged in full-time ministry.
