Two Initiatives for Life-transforming Intercession
Spire has a special interest in encouraging Christians to be intercessors. Like you, we have seen firsthand how intercessory prayer makes all the difference in opening hearts to receive God’s Word and opening opportunities to do God’s work. In order to equip and engage believers in the ministry of intercession we created a unique resource called the Prayer Map of America and a companion program called Praying4America.
The impact of Praying4America has inspired a companion initiative with a broader focus: Praying4TheWorld. This initiative is based on a unique resource, too—a guidebook called the World Prayer Atlas. In Praying4TheWorld the journey of intercession is not across the country but around the globe. It’s a 30-day exploration not just of places but of people—people who lead the nations of the world, people who labor in the spiritual harvest, and people who are lost and desperately in need of Christ. The World Prayer Atlas enables participation in specific intercession for every nation on earth. The result can be powerful and effective, especially in conjunction with a world missions emphasis.
